The Journey

I shall continue my journey,

equipped with the weapons of courage and determination.

I shall rise in the morning,
grateful for the gift of being alive and aiming to make the day count.

​

I shall never back down out of fear or cowardliness,

I was bred to fight fiercely whenever life requires me to do so.

​

I shall always be true and just to myself, my family and my dear ones,

I am an honourable man and I shall make it up if I fail them.

​

I shall learn from my mistakes and disappointments and acknowledge my wrongdoings,

understand the lessons, have to heart and the stomach to suture my wounds with my own hands. 

​

I shall be ruthless and indifferent toward worthless matters,

my time on earth is limited and I shall spend it wisely on what concerns me.

​

I shall master and discipline my soul, my emotions and my feelings,

when all blood flow back only to the heart it can choke the mind.

​

I shall never run away from myself,

I shall face any self-troubling matters with truth, courage, sharp mind and steady hands.

​

I shall expose my weaknesses to no one but myself,

in the wild jungle, only the strong survive.

​

I shall always be a warrior and never a worrier,

I shall feed my mind only with useful knowledge and be aware of the quality of my thoughts.

​

I shall keep writing and engraving my thoughts on my books,

my writings shall remain long after I finish my journey in this world.
